This Privacy Policy explains what information Stengsiu collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.
Stengsiu is a personal productivity app for managing tasks and rewards. We collect only the data needed to provide the service and do not sell your information to third parties.
1Data We Collect
Account data
- Email address — used to create and authenticate your account via Firebase Authentication
- Optional display name — shown on your profile (max 20 characters, set by you)
App content
- Lists, tasks, and rewards you create
- Completion and claim history
- Shared list memberships and collaborator emails
Usage & progress data
- XP level and experience points
- Achievements earned
- Daily login streak and last login date
- Counts of tasks completed, rewards claimed, and lists created
- In-app activity log (task completions, reward claims, level-ups)
Preferences
- Profile icon and avatar colour selection
- Selected active list
- Notification opt-in preference
Notification token (optional)
- If you enable push notifications, your Expo push token is stored to deliver notifications. It is only collected with your explicit consent and can be removed at any time by disabling notifications in the app.
2How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your account
- To sync your tasks, rewards, and lists across devices
- To track your progress, achievements, and login streak
- To enable list sharing with other users
- To send push notifications about shared list activity (only if you opt in)
- To enforce fair-use rate limits and prevent abuse
We do not use your data for advertising, behavioural profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
3Third-Party Services
Stengsiu is built on the following third-party platforms:
- Google Firebase — Authentication and cloud database (Firestore). Your data is stored on Google's servers subject to Firebase's privacy policy.
- Expo — Cross-platform app runtime and push notification delivery. Push tokens are processed by Expo's servers subject to Expo's privacy policy. This service is only used if you opt in to notifications.
No other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included in the app.
4Data Sharing
Your data is never sold or rented. The only sharing that occurs is:
- Shared lists — if you share a list with another user, that user can see the list's tasks, rewards, and the activity of other members (e.g. "a user completed a task"). Your email address is used to look up and invite collaborators.
- Legal compliance — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
5Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active.
You can permanently delete all of your data at any time from within the app:
Profile → Reset All Data — deletes all your lists, tasks, rewards, activity logs, and progress data. This action is irreversible.
To delete your account entirely, use the Reset All Data option and then contact us at the email below to request account removal from Firebase Authentication.
6Children's Privacy
Stengsiu is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
7Security
All data is stored in Google Firebase and protected by Firebase's security rules. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to your data in Firestore is restricted so that only your own authenticated account can read or modify it.
8Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
